My history and who I am...

I've been blessed to call the Central Texas landscape home for my entire life, and my interest in the performing arts and live music has been nurtured by my close proximity to Austin.

The vast majority of my creative endeavors have been literary, musical, or photographical in recent years - things I've done in my entire life, really - but as a child I was focused mostly on drawing and writing.

Upon completion of my primary education, I was accepted into and enrolled in Texas State University's Sound Recording Technology program. A year later I made a radical change of major to Criminal Justice, and eventually became employed as a security guard.

Albeit, I'm not the typical security guard. I suppose I'm doing my part to Keep Austin Weird.

What I'm doing now...

As of Spring 2007, I am no longer an active student at Texas State University - San Marcos. I plan to finish my education elsewhere, and I remain employed fulltime. You'll typically find me either at work or at a show downtown.

My Creative Outlets...

Although I am a jack-of-all-trades of sorts, my primary channels of expression tend to be writing and photography. In addition to being able to efficiently share my work, that's my principle reason for having this website.

Despite that, I spent the majority of my waking hours immersed in music and everything related to it. I'm a certified audiophile, and am a classically trained musician. I'm also a music production volunteer during Austin's annual South by Southwest (SXSW) music & film festival.

My principal instrument is French horn, but I've dabbled in just about everything from Bass Clarinet to Bass Guitar. My latest project is improving my ability to play jazz.

Although I have not been able to play in any ensembles with regularity for some time, I was a member of the 2005 Bobcat Marching Band, the 2004-2005 Horncats, the 2004-2006 TX State Basketball Band, and the 2006 Alamo City Men's Chorale Orchestra.
